Well, I’ve got good news! When is the best time to dive into the wonderful waters of the Bahamas? Drumroll, please… anytime!
But if I had to choose, I’d recommend between November and April. During these months, the water is more transparent than your ex’s conscience, the weather is as predictable as your daily coffee order, and the ocean critters are out in full force, ready to put on a show.
Plus, the water temperature is perfect! So grab your snorkel, put on some reef-friendly sunscreen, and get ready for an adventure you’ll never forget.

Where to Stay in the Nassau, Bahamas
When visiting Nassau, finding the right neighborhood to stay in takes a lot of pre-planning. If you don’t plan on staying at one of the major hotels, you’ll want to ensure you’re not far from restaurants, grocery stores, and dive sites. I recommend the following sites:
- Paradise Island: Home to luxurious resorts, stunning beaches, and iconic attractions like the Royal, this island offers a high-end resort experience with gorgeous ocean views and quick access to fun things to do.
- Downtown Nassau: Stay in Downtown Nassau is excellent if you want a walkable neighborhood with many things going on. You’ll be within walking distance of the Queen’s Staircase, Fort Charlotte, and the Heritage Museum of the Bahamas. Staw Market is a bit overwhelming, but I’m not big on buying souvenirs.
- Cable Beach: Known for its beautiful beaches and upscale resorts, Cable Beach is a popular choice for travelers seeking a relaxing beach vacation. You can enjoy water sports, beachfront dining, and vibrant nightlife.
- Western District: Western District is located on the western end of New Providence Island. It’s much quieter than Downtown Nassau and perfect if you plan on renting a car or enjoying tranquility.
Is Scuba Diving in the Bahamas Worth it?
Yes, absolutely. I can readily admit that the Bahamas may have the most beautiful waters in the world. There’s no need to fly all the way to the Red Sea when the Bahamas is only a short flight away.
